Alumni Spotlight: Juliana Beladera

Juliana Beladera (@Julianabeladera) was born and raised in Stuart, Florida. She began dancing at the age of three at the Dance Academy of Stuart under the instruction of her mother, Alicia Chodera and continued to train at The Rock School, Orlando Ballet School and The Joffrey Ballet School in New York. She moved to New York City to attend The Fashion Institute of Technology where she graduated with a degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications. She was a part of the FIT Dance Company and frequently took class at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center while she was in college.

Upon graduation, she realized a performing career was what she truly wanted to pursue.  She was accepted into the Steps Conservatory Program, studying intensely with New York’s most prominent teachers and choreographers, including Chet Walker, Dana Moore, Randy Skinner, Billy Griffin, Debbie Roshe and Germaine Goodson to name a few. While immersing herself in every technique and style of dance during her time at Steps, as well as acquiring the numerous techniques and skills in acting and voice, versatility became one of her strongest skills.

Juliana is based in New York City and when she is not dancing or auditioning, she frequently teaches in Florida at her dance studio where she trained.  Her ultimate goal is pursuing a performing career in theatre, as well as the commercial, film and television industry.
